Nezval, Isabelle M. (Bonde) Kauer (22 JUN 1912 - 18 AUG 2012)

Isabelle M. Nezval, 100, Rib Lake, died on Saturday, Aug. 18 at Golden LivingCenter in Rib Lake, where she had resided the past three years. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher and Deacon Mark Priniski officiating. Burial was at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. Pallbearers were Ray Schlosser, Richard Osada, and Brad, Anton, Ronald and Ben Kauer.

The former Isabelle Bonde was born on June 23, 1912 in the Town of Rib Lake to the late Phillip and Elizabeth (Stirn) Bonde. She attended Mud Lake Elementary School in the Town of Rib Lake. She worked on the family farm until she was 16, then in Milwaukee and Manitowoc.

On October 16, 1934 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rib Lake, she married Anton "Tony" Kauer who preceded her in death on October 16, 1957. They farmed in the Town of Rib Lake and she worked in the housekeeping department at the Rib Lake Nursing Home.

On October 18, 1969 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church parsonage, she married John Nezval, who preceded her in death on October 24, 1985. They farmed in the Town of Rib Lake until retirement in 1973.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, wine making, flowers, crocheting and making rugs.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Claire Bonde of Brookings, Ore., and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Andrew and Isadore, and three sisters, Catherine Kauer, Marie Eichhorn and Agnes Bonde.

Hemer Funeral Service of Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
