Simet, Dianne (Marriage - 11 May 1968)

St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Dianne Simet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Simet of Chippewa Falls, and William Nemitz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nemitz of Bloomer. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Hoeser.

Miss Brenda Hartman played music as the bride entered the church with her father. She wore a floor-length traditional gown of beauganza and Chantilly lace over taffeta in a bouffant silhouette, fashioned with long, tapered sleeves, an old-fashioned neckline and a fitted Basque waist. Her detachable court train fell into a graceful sweep from her shoulders. A charming headdress of lace petals, adorned with aurora borealis and organza, secured her bouffant veil of bridal illusion. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and yellow roses.

Her maid-of-honor was her sister, Sharon Simet of Eau Claire. Bridesmaids were Miss LaVonne Johnson and Miss Jane Reetz, both of Eau Claire, and junior bridesmaid was Miss Susan Simet of Chippewa Falls.

Jim Custer of Bloomer was best man. Groomsmen were John La Sesse and Dennis Ellison, both of Minneapolis, Minn. Ushers were Ron Simet and Jim Nemitz.

Miss Theresa Hagedorn of Neillsville was guest bookkeeper.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Nemitz are graduates of Bloomer High School. He presently is serving in the navy, stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. They plan to make their home in Honolulu.
