Elsinger, Jeanette #2 (09 NOV 1963)

Miss Jeanette Elsinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Elsinger, Loyal, was claimed in marriage Saturday, November 9 at 10:30 a.m. by William John Erickson, son of Leona Erickson, and the late Maynard Erickson of Loyal.

The ceremony took place at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, with The Reverend N.E. King officiating.

The bride’s brother, Jerry, Presented her in marriage.

The bride, carrying a bouquet of white Fuji chrysanthemums, surrounded by red sweetheart roses and stephanotis, with a shower of white ribbons with more of the red roses caught in the tiny bows, chose an elegant full length dress, fashioned of French Faille.

The gown featured a rounded scoop neckline and long, tapered sleeves buttoned at the wrist, with a fitted bodice from which flowed a skirt of automan styling.  Large bows trimmed the waist and skirt.

The bridal headpiece was a brilliant wedding cake crown, fashioned of Aurora Borealis crystals and imported seed pearls, to which was attached a bouffant cloud veil of bridal illusion.

The maid of honor was Miss Mary Elsinger, sister of the bride.  The bridesmaids were Mrs. Jon Fisher, Spencer, sister of the bride and Mrs. Tom Brussow, Madison, a friend of the bride.  The maids were all attired in bright red, full length gowns of crystal peau de soie, featuring a scoop neckline and three quarter shirred sleeves, a fitted bodice and modified bell skirt.  The back of the gowns were accented by a flowing bow trimmed Watteau panel.  For their heads they chose a red flower cluster with matching veils.  Each aide held a white floral arrangement in the shape of a large poinsettia.

Rodney Rosenfeldt of Abrams, cousin of the groom served as best man.  The groomsmen were Jon Fisher, Spencer and Tom Brussow, Madison.  The ushers were Craig Johnston, Loyal, friend of the groom and Tom Elsinger, Loyal, brother of the bride.

The bride’s mother attended the wedding in a two piece dress of green with black accessories.  The mother of the groom was dressed in a beige brocade dress and a small brown mink hat.  Their corsages were a red carnation surrounded with white carnation petals.

A brunch was served in St. Anthony’s hall immediately following the ceremony.  A reception was held in the afternoon at the Loyal amusements hall and was followed by a supper in the church hall.  A dance was held in the evening at the Loyal Amusements hall, with music by Wayne Seefeldt.

The couple are both 1960 graduates of the Loyal High School, and the groom is a 1962 graduate of Madison Business College.  The bride had been employed by the Gorsegner Law Office of Loyal, and the groom is employed as credit manager for Struck and Irwin Fuel Company of Madison.

After their honeymoon in the southern states, they will reside at 826 West Lakeside Street in Madison.
