Auberg, Ronald "Ron" G. (August 17, 1939 - June 21, 2010)

Ronald "Ron" G. Auberg, 70, Town of Grover, died Monday, June 21 at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital where he had been taken earlier by helicopter.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 25 at 1 p.m. at the Hemer Funeral Home in Medford with Rev. David Clements officiating. Pallbearers will be Dave Goessl, Lowell Clarke, Jay Johnson, Tom Nelson, Carmen Ricca and Rich Boie. Burial will be in the Perkinstown Community Cemetery. Visitation begins Friday at 10 a.m.


Ronald Auberg was born August 17, 1939 in Withee to Bernard and Ardelle (LePage) Auberg.

He attended Withee grade school and is a 1957 graduate of Owen-Withee High School.

He married Phyllis Berseth and they later divorced.

His marriage to Kathleen “Kathy” M. Baumann, who survives, took place on January 19, 1974 in Lake Mills.


He worked for his father’s business Auberg Chevrolet in Withee as a mechanic. He then worked at Foremost Foods in Owen for a number of years. They then moved to Lake Mills where he worked at Crepaco Manufacturing for 4 years. In 1979 they moved to the Perkinstown area where he worked at Marathon Cheese and Weathershield until his retirement in 2006.


In Ron’s retirement he worked at County Market part time until the time of his death. Ron enjoyed snowmobiling, deer hunting, fishing, pontooning, watching the Packers and drinking a beer with friends. He also enjoyed going for walks with Murphy III, his Airedale Terrier. Ron played and managed for the Miller High-Lifers Softball Team and also played for Earl’s Old Stylers. He was a member of Perkinstown Community Church where he was currently serving as chairman of the board, the Boomtown Snow-Chasers Snowmobile Club and the Kathryn Lake Association.


In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two daughters, Tammy Parker and Angela Auberg, both of Redding, Calif.; a granddaughter, Amanda Parker of Redding; a sister, Luella “Toodie” Bonk of Withee; two brothers, Lanny (Kathryn) of Surprise, Ariz. and Jeff (friend, Chris Brooks) of Abbotsford.


In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.


In lieu of flowers, memorial’s can be made to Ron’s family to be designated at a later date.
