Motte, “Slip” James F. (May 14, 1934 - April 19, 2009)

James "Slip" F. Motte, 75, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

James "Slip" F. Motte was born February 14, 1934 in the Town of Greenwood to the late Fredricka (Steen) Pagel and Erich Motte.

He served in the United States military. James farmed in the Town of Little Black from 1961 until his retirement in 1989. "Slip" loved his dog "Girl," was an avid horseshoe player and enjoyed deer hunting.

Survivors include seven children, Pam (Mark Riegert) Motte, Cindy (Dan C.) Hoffman, James "Charlie" (Kristy) Motte, Jean (John) Brost, Lisa Motte, Michael Motte and Julie (Dave) Becker; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; and one grandchild.
