Gordon Pape, son of Mr. and Mrs. Waldemar A. Pape, was born in Reedsville, Wisconsin, on December 17, 1936.
In 1944, the Pape family came to Medford when Mr. Pape accepted the call of our congregation to re-open our Christian day School, which had been closed for nearly twenty years.
In preparation for his teaching career, Gordon attended Dr. Martin Luther High School and then Dr. Martin Luther College, competing his course in 1958.
Upon graduation, he accepted the call as teacher in Our Saviourís Lutheran congregation in Wausau, which he served for two years.
In 1960, he accepted a call from Pilgrimís Lutheran congregation in Minneapolis, where he served until 1968.
In 1968, he accepted the call as principal and teacher from St. Peterís Lutheran congregation in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, a position he is presently serving.
