Waldhart, Hollis E. (27 May 1923 - 29 Nov. 2008)

MEDFORD -- Hollis "Hollie" E. Waldhart, 85, of Medford, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hemer Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Hollis was born May 27, 1923, at Stetsonville, the son of Fred and Ella (Arndt) Waldhart. He was united in marriage Dec. 15, 1944, to Anita Strankman at Zion Ev Lutheran Church, Stetsonville.

In 1944, he bought a milk route from Chris Waldhart which he owned and operated for 40 years until his retirement in 1984. The couple moved to Medford in 1950.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Waldhart of Medford; four children, Carmen (Tim) Ruesch and Ron (Lois) Waldhart, all of Medford, Mary Patterson of Omaha, Neb., and Carol (Bryan) Paur of Menomonie; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Vaughn (Helen) Waldhart of Ogema.
