Soto, Linda K. (April 8, 1948 - January 3, 2011)

Linda K. Soto, 62, Town of Grover, died Monday, Jan. 3 at her home under the care of her family and Hope Hospice.

Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Northland Baptist Church in Hannibal with Rev. Richard Chromy officiating.

PLACE OF BURIAL: Perkinstown Community Cemetery, township of Grover.

VISITATION AT: Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 4 PM until time of a prayer service to be held at 7 PM on Thursday, January 6 and also at church from 9:30 AM until time of funeral services at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 7.

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: April 8, 1948 at San Diego, CA

EDUCATION: Graduate of South Milwaukee High School.

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: June 24, 1967 at Bay View Baptist Church, Bay View, WI to Michael “Mike” Soto.

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: She worked for most of her life as a housewife & mother while residing in the Milwaukee area. In 1987 they moved to Perkinstown and she worked at Tombstone Pizza & Weather Shield Mfg. in their offices for periods of time. Most recently she worked as a transcriber for Correction Creek Chiropractic Center until ill health forced her retirement. She enjoyed fishing, walking, and rock collecting.

MEMBER OF: Northland Baptist Church, Hannibal, WI; Former member of First Baptist Church, Medford.

SURVIVING SPOUSE: Michael “Mike” Soto of Perkinstown.

SURVIVING CHILDREN: 2 Daughters-Teresa (James) Mullins of Russiaville, IN & Kathryn (Mario) Moreno of Bangor, WI; Step-Son: Michael Soto of Santa Fe, NM.

NUMBER OF GRANDCHILDREN: 6

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: Brother-Randy (Jean) Newton of South Milwaukee, WI.

SURVIVING PARENTS: Bill & Kathryn (Crutchfield) Newton of South Milwaukee, WI.

OTHER INFORMATION: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made in her name to Northland Baptist Church, 6111 Trenkolm Ave., Hannibal, WI 54439.
