Rustad, Carol Ann (Marriage - 9 July 1966)

Residing at 327A Main St. in Mishicot are Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Raymond Ewert, who were married at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, July 9, by the Rev. Henry Cassidy at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bakerville.

Mrs. Ewert, the former Miss Carol Ann Rustad, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Rustad, route 1, Marshfield, was given in marriage by her father to Dennis Raymond Ewert, route 1, Two Rivers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ewert, 213 N. Maple Ave.

Mrs. Roger Hartl was organist and the high school choir sang. John Binder was soloist for “Mother at Your Feet In Kneeling.”

Gladioli and white chrysanthemums decorated the altar for which the bride selected a floor-length gown having a bateau neckline on the reembroidered alencon lace mock bolero bodice. Her empire waistline accented the A-line skirt of silk organza completed by a full-chapel sweep.

Her bouffant illusion veil was secured to a silk organza pillbox with reembroidered alencon lace trimmed with seed pearls and aurora borealis crystal. The bride’s bouquet was a cascade arrangement of white phalaenopsis orchids and bouvardia.

Holding cascade bouquets of yellow daisies and ivy, the bridal aides - Miss Connie Rustad of Marshfield as maid of honor, Miss Diane Ewert of Milwaukee as bridesmaid and Ruth Jensen as junior bridesmaid - wore aqua floor-length formals with bateau necklines on the lace bodices. The empire waistlines accented the sheath skirts of chiffon over taffeta, the backs being completed by watteau panels having bow trim.

Each aide had a matching silk organza petal forehead piece with pearl trim and pouf veil.

Dale Maguire, Mosinee, was best man; Donald Binder, Marshfield, the groomsman; and Rudy Krane ushered.

The wedding reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m. was followed by a supper and private party in the evening, all taking place at the Marshfield Armory.

Mrs. Ewert, a 1962 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School, has been employed as a medical stenographer at the Marshfield Clinic. Mr. Ewert, who was graduated in 1963 from the same high school, is a draftsman for Hamilton Manufacturing at Two Rivers.

Wedding guests were from Auburndale, Wisconsin Rapids, Spencer, Park Falls, Two Rivers, Schofield, West Bend, Omro, Wausau, Stratford, Nekoosa, Mosinee, Milwaukee, Greenwood, Conrath, Neillsville, Mauston, from Anoka, Minn., Chicago, Ill., Kalamazoo, Mich., and from Marshfield and surrounding areas.
