Davis, Carol (11 Sept. 1927 - 9 Oct. 2004)

JANESVILLE - Carol Koeberl Davis, 77, of 1814 Mole Ave., Janesville, died on Sat. Oct. 9, 2004, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Janesville following a long illness. Carol was born in Marshfield, WI, on Sept. 11, 1927, the daughter of Eugene and Emma (Luepke) Hood. She attended school in Marshfield. She married Sylvester Koeberl in September of 1943; he died in 1956. She married Charles Davis in 1958; he died in 1981. Carol had been a Janesville resident since 1954. She was formerly employed as a waitress by Holiday Inn, and prior to retiring in 1989 was employed in the office of Rock County Electric. Carol enjoyed camping, ceramics, having lunches with her retired co-workers, listening to music and watching TV.

Carol Davis is survived by 3 children; Rita (Gary) Clark, Jerome Koeberl and William (Diane) Koeberl; a stepson, Richard (Carol) Davis; all of Janesville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters: Genevieve Tauschek of Beloit, Dorothy Leffel of the State of Washington, Grace (Owen) Schraufnagel of Abbotsford, WI, Jessie (Bud) Collins of Pittsville, WI, and Nettie (George) Carter of the State of Illinois; a sister-in-law, Rita Hood of Marshfield; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; a son, Eugene Koeberl, who was killed while serving with the Army in Germany in 1965; her parents; brothers and sisters: Eugene Hood, Edith Sat.rstrom, Emma Kraus, Edna Bliven and George Hood; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Rudolph Sat.rstrom, Edward Kraus, Arthur Bliven, Loretta Hood, Edwin Mohns, Arnie Leffel and Norman Tauschek; and a special friend, Stan Nelson.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wed., Oct. 13, 2004, at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Internment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Wed. at the funeral home.
