Helke, Arthur A. (26 Feb. 1891 - 22 Apr. 1963)

PORT EDWARDS - Arthur A. Helke, 72, died about noon Mon. of a heart seizure while working in the field near his home on Ver Bunker Ave.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wed. in the Trinity Lutheran Church here, the Rev. W. A. Uttech officiating. Internment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Nekoosa.

Until his retirement several years ago, Mr. Helke had worked as a maintenance man at John Edwards High School. He was born in the town of Seneca Feb. 26, 1891, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Helke, and was married to the former Alvina B. Tank, Jan. 13, 1919, in Chicago.

After their marriage the couple moved to New York City where Mr. Helke served in the Merchant Marine. From 1924 to 1935 they lived in Chicago and then came to Port Edwards.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Chester A. Rinka, Shorewood; a brother, Albert, Wood County Infirmary, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Bartels, Milwaukee.

3 brothers and 2 sisters preceded him in death.
