Weigel, Mabel R. (5 June 1924 - 8 Apr. 2009)

Mabel R. Weigel, 84, of Marshfield died Wed. morning, April 8, 2009, at the Golden LivingCenter-Three Oaks of Marshfield.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Sat. April 11, 2009, at the Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) with the Rev. Trish Turner officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of the services Sat. at Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI).

Mabel was born June 5, 1924, in Milwaukee to Elmer and Esther (Hensch) Neitzke.

Mabel worked at Wisconsin Electric Power as a switch board operator in Milwaukee.

She moved to Marshfield and was united in marriage to Harold J. Weigel on Sept. 20, 1969, in Marshfield. He died July 7, 1995.

She enjoyed sewing, flower arranging and nature.

She is survived by her children, Linda Weigel of Marshfield, David Weigel of Stevens Point, Roy Weigel and Paul (Mae) Weigel, both of Marshfield; one grandson, Dylan Weigel. She is further survived by her sister, Margaret (Richard) Chyko of St. Germain. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Harold.

Memorials may be given as an expression of sympathy to Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield.

Mabel R. Weigel died April 8, 2009, at Golden Living Center-Three Oaks in Marshfield.

Incorrect information was given in an obituary on April 9, 2009, for Mabel R. Weigel. It should have read she is survived by her stepchildren, Linda Weigel of Marshfield, David Weigel of Stevens Point, Roy Weigel and Paul (Mae) Weigel, both of Marshfield; and one step-grandson, Dylan Weigel; as Clara Schultz Weigel-Brown is the biological mother/grandmother of the above mentioned.
