Reuman, Ruth R. (4 July 1927 - 29 Dec. 1992)

Ruth R. Reuman, 65, of 1601 W. Fifth St. died at 11:32 a.m. Tues. at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she had been admitted Dec. 17.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Sat. at Hansen Funeral Home with the Rev. Art Scotberg of the Assembly of God Church officiating. William Allen will be the soloist and Bruce Jensema will be the organist. Burial will be in Spirit-Hillcrest Cemetery, Price County.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Sat. at the funeral home.

She was born July 4, 1927, in Bismark, N.D., to the late Hal M. and Marie (Shimmin) Reed. She moved to the Tomahawk area with her parents at the age of 5 and attended schools in Tripoli. She was married to William Reuman in 1951, and he died in October 1973.

She and her husband farmed in the town of Bradley. After the death of her husband, she lived in Owen and then moved to Marshfield 18 years ago. She was employed by Opportunity Development Center until the time of her death.

Survivors include one son, Levi of Omro; two daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Linda) Swedlin of the town of Longmont, Colo., and Mrs. Jake (Patty) Douglas of Farmington, Minn,; four brothers, Arthur B. Reed of Monticello, Minn., Albert Reed of Phoenix, Ariz., David L. Reed of North Miami, Fla., and Harry Paul Reed of Rhinelander; four sisters, Hazel Matteson of Ontario, Calif., Ethel Reed of Antigo, Dorothy Pearson of San Jose, Calif., and Pearl Hilbrand of Cottage Grove, Ore.; and seven grandchildren.
