Fairfield, Arliss Mae (12 June 1932 - 19 Jan. 2009)

Arliss Mae Fairfield, 76, of Auburndale and formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, went to live with her Lord and be with her loving husband Mon. morning, Jan. 19, 2009.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thur. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Auburndale. The Rev. Mark Lundgren will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Arliss was born June 12, 1932, in Edgar, to Fred and Alice (Hubert) Grosskreutz. She graduated from Marenisco High School in Marenisco, Mich., in 1950. She married Guy Fairfield on Sept. 13, 1952, in Winegar, (now Presque Isle). He died Feb. 23, 2004.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Auburndale and its Ladies Aid and quilting group.

She is survived by her three daughters: Cheryl Fairfield of Auburndale, Tracy (Tim) Russell of Kaukauna and Melanie Lange of Waunakee; six loving grandchildren: Anthony, Karen (Gary), Nicole, Sarah, Quinton and Erin; one great-granddaughter: Mikayla; four sisters: Audrey (Frank) Gasek of Medford, Veryl (Rich) Noftsinger of Navarro, Ohio, Marlene (Pete) Gengler of Wisconsin Rapids and Lavon (Dan) Oleson of Pittsville; three brothers: Larry (Clara) of Babcock, Howard (Sheila) of Nekoosa and Lee (Diane) of Arpin; and many nephews and nieces.

Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church in Auburndale from 10 a.m. Thur. until the time of services.

Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
