Seidelman-Wieting (Reunion - 1980)

The third reunion of the Seidelman Wieting families was held Saturday, August 9, at Schuster Park, Neillsville. There were about 75 present. Some of those attending brought mementos from the previous gatherings. A scrapbook is being kept for future generations.

Lucile Wieting composed a story of her childhood and young adult years in North Dakota. The story was read and will become a part of the scrapbook.

The next reunion will be held the second Saturday in August 1983. (?)

At 1:00 p.m. a potluck lunch was served. During the afternoon, games were played with the highlight being a softball game with women and girls against the men and boys. (The women and girls were winning but the game was called because of rain.)

Attending the reunion from out of town were Sharon, Penney, David and Melissa Mason, Iberia, Mo.; Jim and Dorothy Franks, Torrance, Ca.; Dennis, Kathy, Randy and Jonathon Frankos, Denver, Co.; Ken, Pat, Corrine and Connie Keller, Bloomington, Mn.; Shirley, Kris, and Erik Simonson, Hortonville, Donald and Katie Wieting, Ed Lee Ann and E.J. Wieting, Menomonee Falls; Jerome Wieting and Bev Andrus, Milwaukee; Julie and Paul Pfister, Jackson; Ralph and Leona Fischer, Spencer; and Art and Lucille Wieting and John Ruth, Ann and Emmalene Wieting, Richfield.
