Kubik, Lorraine Anne (Marriage – 28 February 1975)
Mrs. Janet Kubik, Neillsville, announces the marriage of her daughter,
Lorraine Anne, to Garth D. Bertz, son of Sheriff and Mrs. David Bertz, Rt. 2
Neillsville.
The two were married February 28 by Chaplain Peter Hoffmann at God’s Hope
Chapel, Ft. Carsen, Co.; where the groom was stationed.
The bride wore a scoop neckline, long-sleeved debutante gown fashioned with
a skirt of four tiers of lace over hopped taffeta. She carried a bouquet of
white carnations and red roses accented by red satin streamers as she was
presented in marriage by her cousin, Bill Oliver of Neillsville, stationed,
at Ft. Carson.
Mrs. Heidi Flores, a friend of the bridal couple, was the matron of honor.
The groom’s brother Greg Bertz, also of Neillsville, stationed at Ft.
Carson, served as bestman.
The evening ceremony was attended by the bride’s mother and brother, Tony
Kubik, the groom’s parents, and by friends. A dinner was served at the
Village Inn, Colorado Springs.
The newlyweds will be honored at a reception and welcome home party
Saturday, July 5, at 5 p. m. at the David Bertz residence. All family
members and friends are invited.
