The former Nancy Lou Crowley was born August 19, 1930 in Owen, the daughter of John J. and Amy (Andersen) Crowley. She attended Owen High School. Nancy and John Stock were united in marriage on January 24, 1948, in Neillsville.

Nancy assisted her husband as bookkeeper and partner with N.L. Stock Plumbing and Heating. A homemaker, Nancy was dedicated to her family with special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Before her arthritic condition became restrictive, she was actively involved in Eastern Star of Owen, serving in officer positions and Worthy Matron. She was also associated with the Gran Page of Milwaukee. She was a bowling league member for many years. Nancy was an excellent cook, and passed this ability on to her family, especially her chicken noodle soup.

Nancy will be sadly missed by her husband of 50 years, John Stock of Withee; her mother, Amy Crowley of Owen; sons, Jeff (Linda) Stock of Elk Mound, Timothy (Diane) Stock Sr. of Withee; daughters, Kathleen (Jeffry) Jones of Sherwood, Oregon, and Andrea "Nonnie" (Scott) Richards of Marshfield; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and her special canine friend, Peter.

She was preceded in death by her father, John "Jim" Crowley on December 19, 1995, and her brother, Terry Crowley in 1980.
