A son, Kai James, was born to Brian and Tara Abel of Medford on September 6, 2019, at the Marshfield Medical Center. He weighed 8 pounds, 15.9 ounces and was 21 inches in length.

Grandparents are Scott and Darla Abel of Greenwood and Jim and Jayne Sauer of Medford. Great-grandparents are Gary Abel of Racine and Wayne and Verna Birkett of Greenwood.
