Katherine M. Greenwald, 91, died on Fri., Jan. 9, 2009, at her residence.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Mon., Jan. 12, 2009, at Saint John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.

Visitation will be one hour before service time Mon. at the church.

Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) is assisting the family.

She was born Sept. 26, 1917, in Clark, S.D. to Henry and Mary (Robel) Hass. After the death of her father, the family moved to Marshfield where she attended school. On Nov. 17, 1937, she married Raymond Greenwald at Saint John's Catholic Church. Before her marriage, she worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory and after her marriage, she was a full-time homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Bernard) Meyer, three sons, Eugene (Marlene) Greenwald, Gary (Jana) Greenwald of Marshfield, and Paul (Patti) Greenwald of Wisconsin Rapids, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Saint John's Catholic Church.
