Krause, Geraldine E. (4 Jan. 1925 - 9 Jan. 2009)

Geraldine E. Krause, 84, of Milladore died Fri., Jan. 9, 2009, at the Palliative Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tues., Jan. 13, 2009. at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mon. at Martens/Rembs' Funeral Home (300 S. Oak Ave. - Marshfield, WI) in Junction City and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tues. at the church.

She was born Jan. 4, 1925, to Frederick and Angeline (Strupp) Ponshock in Rozellville where she attended school.

She was united in marriage to Ervin F. Krause on Oct. 27, 1942, at Saint Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville. They farmed in the town of Milladore after their marriage and she continued to live on the home farm.

She is survived by her four sons, Frederick (Diane) Krause of Springdale, Ark.; James (Mary) Krause of Wisconsin Rapids; Robert (Virginia) Krause of Milladore and Alan (Karen) Krause of Milladore; three daughters, Judy Krause of Milladore, Gloria Krause of Milladore and Amy (Mike) Hager of Marshfield; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Clarence "Bud" Ponshock of Marshfield, and a sister Adeline (Joe) Schroeder of Blenker.
