Ryba, Beverly Ann (Marriage – 2 August 1975)

Miss Beverly Ann Ryba and Roger William Volovsek exchanged marriage vows Saturday, August 2, in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, by the Rev. James E. Coke. An afternoon reception at the Meadowview Country Club was followed that evening by a dance.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Milton Ryba, Rt. 1 Curtiss, and Mr. and Mrs. Alphonse Volovsek, Rt. 1 Willard.

The bride appeared in a traditional white gown of organza and venise lace with applique and pleating and a chapel train with pleated organza hemline ruffling. A matching profile headpiece caught her lace-edged fingertip veil. She carried a cascade arrangement of yellow sweetheart roses, white carnations and Fuji mums with touches of ivy as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Bonnie Ryba, Curtiss, twin sister of the bride, was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Donna Volovsek, Willard, sister of the groom, and Mrs. Richard Volovsek Milwaukee, sister-in-law of the groom. Acting as junior bridesmaids were Karen Ryba, Curtiss, sister of the bride, and Debra Volovsek, Willard, sister of the groom. Their empire-waist gowns of blue 3-D polyester organza floral print were defined with neckline and sleeve ruffling and white venise lace waistline trim. White, blue and yellow carnations formed their bouquets.

The groom’s brother, Richard Volovsek, Milwaukee, served as bestman. Groomsmen were Greg Ryba, Curtiss, brother of the bride, and David Susa, Eau Claire, cousin of the groom. Guests were seated by Jerome Ryba, Curtiss, brother of the bride, and Ronald Volovsek, Willard, brother of the groom.

Vocalists were Patrice Pakiz, Mary Jo Wagner and Cindy Stewart.

The new Mrs. Volovsek is a 1972 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. Her husband, who graduated from Greenwood High School, is engaged in dairy farming. They will live on Rt. 1 Willard, upon returning from a wedding trip to Colorado.
