Frantz, Anna F. (9 December 1889 – 30 July 1975)

Funeral services were held Saturday from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church for a county native, Mrs. anna F. Frantz, 85, of Neillsville, who died July 30 following a brief illness. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated, and interment followed in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home.

Mrs. Frantz, the daughter of George and Lena luck Rupprecht, was born December 9, 1889, in Clark County and was educated in local schools. For a time, she worked in Milwaukee as a milliner. Following her marriage to Everett Kleckner, she returned to Neillsville where she lived the rest of her life. Mr. Kleckner died in 1963. Her second marriage was to Robert Frantz, who died in 1968.

Mrs. Frantz was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a past president of both auxiliaries.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Virginia) Moen of Neillsville and Mrs. Verne (Jean) Jewett of San Jose, Ca.; one brother, George Rupprecht of Neillsville; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Herman Moen, Alfred Kleckner, Al Mashin, Walter Johnson, Brooks Karl, and John Swenson.

Mrs. Janice Mayer sang “Asleep in Jesus” and “Jesus Lead Thou on.” Sharon Weber was the accompanist.

Among those attending the service were the following from out of town: Mrs. Verne Jewett of San Jose, Ca., and daughter, Jeri Jewett of Richmond, Ca.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roethe, Fennimore; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Krejci, Schofield; Mr. and Mrs. John Moen, Wisconsin Rapids; Dr. and Mrs. Paul Phillips, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Zastrow, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Rupprecht, Coon Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Schaub, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Hayes Jewett, Chippewa Falls; Martha Brown, Sacramento, Ca.
