Keith, Richard C. (19 Sept. 1936 - 16 Jan. 2009)

Richard C. Keith, 72, Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wisconsin Rapids, died Fri. evening, Jan. 16, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wed. at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home. The Rev. Mary Bosch will officiate. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Mausoleum. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post No. 9.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tues. at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wed.. Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Richard C. Keith, 72, Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wisconsin Rapids, died Fri. evening, Jan. 16, 2009, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Rich was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Wauwatosa, to Clarence and Caroline (Trichia) Keith. He was married to Lola Harrison on Jan 17, 1961, in San Diego. The marriage ended in divorce.

He served in the Marine Corps Aviation Branch from 1954 to 1957 in both Japan and the United States. From 1958 to 1962, he served in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Lexington in the far east and Japan.

He worked at Consolidated Papers, Biron Division, from 1962 to 1964. From 1964 to 1989, he worked as a foil cutter operator at Consoweld, and from 1989 to 1991 he worked as a stock handler at Paperboard.

He was a former volunteer worker for Head Start, a Chicago Cub fan, Green Bay Packers fan, Harry Carry fan and a NASCAR enthusiast.

Survivors include his daughters Kay Keith of Port Edwards and Lisa (Patrick) LaBarge of Rudolph; sons, Richard Keith of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Danny (fiancee Tammy) Keith of Nekoosa and Kevin Keith of Wisconsin Rapids; 11 grandchildren, Stacy, Bryan, Josh, Joe, Jake, Trista, Josh, Dylan, Linsey, Rischon and Rashad; five great-grandchildren; two half brothers, Robert (Barbara) Foss of Buhl, Idaho and Jerry Wescott of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Fred Foss; infant sister, Kay; and daughter-in-law Shelly Keith.
