Nielsen, Sharon Ann (Marriage – 16 August 1975)

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood, was the setting Saturday, August 16, for the wedding of Miss Sharon Ann Nielsen and Edward John Bushman. Officiating at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony were the Rev. David Wenger, pastor, and the Rev. Robert Houston of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood. A reception followed at the Loyal American Legion Hall.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Aage Nielsen, Rt. 2, Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Busman, Rt. 1 Greenwood.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father, appeared in a gown of ivory chiffon fashioned with a softly gathered, tiered skirt and framed by a fingertip veil held by a Camelot headpiece. She carried a colonial lace bouquet with peach roses and baby’s breath.

Berdell Nielsen, River Falls, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were LeAnn Rohde, River Falls, Joan Christie, Greenwood and Diane Neilsen, Greenwood. Their apricot A-line, empire style gowns with cap sleeves were accessorized with ivory parasols with purple and apricot flowers in their hair.

Attending the groom were Ervin Bitter, Rockford, Il., as bestman and James Bergemann, Hugh Christie, and Wayne Nielsen, all of Greenwood as groomsmen. Roger Nielsen, Greenwood, and Steve Bushman, Rockford, Il., served as ushers.

Andy Nielsen was the ringbearer and Kelly Bogdonovich, the flower girl. Both are of Greenwood.

Music was by Judy Zettler, Diane Anderegg, Sharon Schoonover and Gordy Denk.

The newlyweds, who honeymooned in northern Wisconsin, are both graduates of Greenwood High School. They will live in Rice Lake where the groom will attend Indianhead Technical School. The bride has been employed by a bank in Loyal.
