Johnson, Minnie P. (7 Sept. 1893 - 22 Aug. 1988)

HIXTON - Minnie P. Johnson, 94, of Hixton, died Monday at the Pine View Nursing Home in Black River Falls, where she had been a resident since Nov. 17, 1983.

Services were held today at the Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church in Northfield. The Rev. Rebecca Hostetler officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Einar Olson, Merlin Eide, Eddie and Charles Jensen, Odeen Johnson and Harland Olstad.

She was born Sept. 7, 1893, in the town of Curral, to Peder and Kjerstune Eidet.

She was married to George Johnson Sept. 24, 1927 at the Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church in Northfield. He died May 22, 1972.

They moved to Marshfield where Mr. Johnson worked for the Felker Manufacturing Co., and she worked as a cook at the Hotel Charles for many years. She moved back to Hixton in 1973.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Ladies Aid in the Faith Lutheran Church of Marshfield and the Ladies Aid at the Upper Pigeon Creek Lutheran Church.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Peder, Herman, and Olaf.
