Skaar, Trevor L (27 July 1982 – 27 November 2008)

Trevor L. Skaar, 26, of Hixton died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls.

Trevor was born July 27, 1982, in Black River Falls, to parents Clifton and Marlene (LaBar) Skaar. He graduated from Black River Falls High School in 2003.

Trevor attended the Connection in Black River Falls. He liked the outdoors and enjoyed going camping near Ashland with his family. He also enjoyed going deer hunting with his father. He won first place in a fishing contest in Hayward sponsored by the organization Fishing Has No Boundaries. He also enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, and he was a big Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Playing games on his Playstation and watching movies at home with his family were other special pastimes of Trevor’s.

Trevor is survived by his parents, Marlene and Chip Skaar of Hixton; his brother Tyler (Allison) Skaar of Alma Center; his sister, Trisha Osley of Hixton; two nephews, Cole and Ethan Osley; besides many other relatives and friends.

Trevor was preceded in death by his infant brother, Lucus; his grandparents, Lyle and Louise Skaar and George and Cecilia LaBar; and his uncle, Bill Skaar.

Funeral services for Trevor L. Skaar were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at the United Methodist Church, Hixton, with Reverend Meg Erickson officiating. Burial took place in Trinity Rest Cemetery, Hixton. Friends called Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, and also one hour prior to services at the church.

Casketbearers were Jamie Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Todd LaBar, Sam Martire, Benjamin Skaar and Cody Ricker. Honorary bearers were Tim Martire, Cole Osley and Ethan Osley.
