Norman G. Peterson
Norman G. Peterson, 81, of Route 2, Black River Falls, died Sunday, November 6, 1988, at his home in the Town of Irving.
He was born in the Town of Irving in Jackson County on April 16, 1907, to Peter O. and Caroline (Gilbertson) Peterson. He was raised in the Town of Irving and married the former Esther Hanson in Winona, Minn., on October 5, 1929.
The couple resided all of their married lives in Irving Township. Norman Peterson was a dairy farmer, raised and sold horses, and was a cattle dealer. After retiring from dairy farming, he raised beef cattle.
Surviving are his wife Esther; two sons, Vernon of Black River Falls, and Peter of Melrose; three daughters, Mrs. Willis (Norma) Hart and Martha Fox, both of Black River Falls, and Grace Long of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Price Peterson and one sister, Esther Emerson, both of Black River Falls; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Norman G. Peterson will be Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. from the Little Norway Lutheran Church. Pastor Paul Reiff will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends called at Torgerson's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. and may call at the church on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.
Pallbearers will be Keith Ramsey, Eugene Peterson, Dean Peterson, Arlan Peterson, Richard Olson, and Jack Sampson.
