Rulland, Kenneth J. (8 April 1937 – 8 May 2009)

Kenneth J. Rulland, 72, of Black River Falls passed away Friday, May 8, 2009, at his home surrounded by his loving family while under the care of Black River Hospice.

He was born April 8, 1937, to John and Lorraine (Chatt) Rulland in Black River Falls.

He graduated from Black River Falls High School. Kenneth went on to receive his BBA from Madison Business College in 1964. He moved to Evanston, IL, where he worked for Washington National as an accountant. Kenneth moved back to Black River Falls in 1992.

He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and, most of all, spending time with his family. Kenneth had a special bond with his nephews, nieces and great-nephews.

He was a member of the Black River Falls Evangelical Lutheran Church and also a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his mother, Lorraine of Black River Falls; one brother, Randy (Joan) Rulland of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Dianne Rulland and Terri (Tim) Hutson both of Chippewa falls; nieces, Alisha (DJ) Simonson and Kelly (Jamey) Wiltrout; nephews, Geoffrey Rulland and Cory Hutson; and three great-nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father John.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 12, 2009, 11:00 a.m., at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Black River Falls. Reverend Eric Bakken officiated. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery, Black River Falls. Family and friends were invited for visitation Monday, May 11, 2009, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Buswell Funeral Home, Black River Falls. A Masonic service was held Monday at 7 p.m. Family and friends were also invited for visitation Tuesday, May 12, 2009 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
