Her interests included bird watching, especially hummingbirds, playing the organ and making occasional visits to the casino to try her luck.  She and her husband also traveled to Arizona and Florida for several winters.

Valborg was a loving wife to her husband of 73 years.  She enjoyed being a nurse to everyone’s ills and offering a wealth of opinions and advice to help solve any family “crisis.”

Survivors include her husband, Oswald; one son, Steven (Alice) Hagen of Sparta; one daughter Joyce Leeth of Black River Falls; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; besides other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Lindsey Michael Maynard; two brothers, Omer and Stub Wilhelmsen; and sisters, Dorothy Prescot and Marian Riggle.
