Carlson, LaVon (28 February 1926 – 22 February 2010)

 

LaVon Carlson passed away Feb. 22, 2010, in Kenosha.

 

She was born in Taylor Feb. 28, 1926, to Ludwig and Rebecca (Walsted) Olson.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Taylor Lutheran Church.  She attended Jackson Rural School and graduated from Taylor High School in 1945.

 

After graduation she went to Milwaukee for work and lived out her life in the Milwaukee-Kenosha area.

 

She is survived by four children, John (Pamela) Woppert, Marshall (Mary) Provost, Joseph Provost and Charmaine (Robert) White. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a brother, Lyness Olson; sisters-in-law, Eileen Olson and Mary George; and many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David; her brothers, Herbert and Elvie Olson; and her sister and brother-in-law, Robert “Bud” and Rosell Hanson.

 

Visitation was held Feb. 25, 2010, at Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services in Racine.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, rural Taylor, at a later date.
