Mason, Harriet (24 Nov. 1914 – 14 July 1971)

 

Mrs. George Mason

 

Mrs. George Mason, 56, Rt. 2, Black River Falls died Wednesday, July 14, 1971 at a local hospital.

 

Services were at 2 pm Saturday in the Little Norway Lutheran Church, Rev. Robert Salveson officiating and burial was in the church cemetery.

 

The former Harriett Peterson was born in Jackson County Nov. 24, 1914 to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson. She and her husband lived in Albion Township. She had been employed at the IGA Store for 20 years until her retirement six years ago.

 

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Max and Gene of Black River Falls; two grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Archie Emerson and four brothers, Raymond, Price, Merlin and Norman Peterson, all of Black River Falls.

 

She had been baptized at the Little Norway Church, Dec. 25, 1914 and was a lifelong member of that church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star here.

 

She was united in married to George Mason February 23, 1935.

 

At the funeral Mrs. Lois Becker was the organist and Mrs. Richard Olson, the vocalist. The pallbearers were Eugene, Alan, Vernon and Dean Peterson, Richard Russell and Douglas Mason, her nephews.

 

David Emerson who is in Saigon, also a nephew was named Honorary pallbearer.
