Denzin, Ruby A. (29 JUL 1918 - 22 FEB 2013)

Ruby Anna Denzin, age 94, of Abbotsford, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Abbotsford. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milan. Pastor Jeffery Lambrecht will officiate. A visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and again on Saturday at the church in Milan one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Milan.

Ruby was born July 29, 1918 to Emil and Lydia (Jurgemeyer) Venzke in the Town of Johnson. She received her education at Milan Grade School. Ruby Venzke and Ray Denzin were united in marriage on October 25, 1941 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milan. Ruby and Ray farmed outside of Abbotsford. She was a home maker and also worked at Miller's Bakery in Abbotsford. Later she was a cook at Golden Living Center until retirement at 80 years old.

Ruby was a devoted member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed crafting, soft sculpture dolls, her vegetable garden, sewing, needle work, and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Ruby is lovingly survived by her children: Roger (Marcie) Denzin of St. Charles, MO, Robert (Rose) Denzin of Jonesboro, GA, Helen (John) Richards of Centennial, CO, and Debra (Dan) Singstock of Schofield, WI. Ruby is further survived by 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, her sister, Stella (Don) Schauer of Abbotsford, and her brother, Ed (Evelyn) Venzke of Hubertus, WI.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray, and her brothers and sisters: Robert Venzke, Elva Hargrave, George Venzke, James Venzke, Pearl Tischendorf, Lois Tobolski, and Benno Venzke, and great grandchild Ayden Borneman.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is assisting the Denzin family with arrangements.

Ruby's family would like to thank the staff of the Golden Living Center in Abbotsford for the comfort and loving care they provided.
