Lloyd Martens (13 November 1909 - February 1973) (Date of death is from the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery info.)

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Kraut-Maurina funeral home, Dorchester, for Lloyd “Fritz” Martens, 63, Chicago, a former Dorchester resident who died Thursday at the Veterans Research hospital, Chicago. Rev. Henry Bahrenburg Jr. officiated and burial took place in Dorchester Memorial cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Alfred Hinke, Louis Sebold, Max Kronschnabl, Joe Hennlich, Clarence Vircks and Cliff Herman.

Mr. Martens was born November 13, 1909, at Dorchester and received his elementary and high school education there. He left the Dorchester area in 1941 and was last employed as a shipping clerk in Chicago. He was a World War II veteran.

A single man, he is survived by three sisters, Gladys, Mrs. Pat McCarron of Dorchester, Margaret Martin of Chicago and Jane, Mrs. Guy Dorazio of Colby and one brother, Harold of Dorchester.
