One person, a Hammond, Indiana man, was killed and four others were injured here early Saturday morning in an auto accident which occurred on the curve on the north village limits at the Wadhams service station.

The accident happened at 4:15 A. M. Saturday when the driver, William A. Sullivan, fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the road at the curve coming from the north. The other six passengers in the car were also sleeping at the time.

The group included Marion Eherenhardt, 52, Hammond, Ind., who was killed, the driver, William A. Sullivan, 43, Bernard Walsch, 47 and John Garrett, 55, all of Hammond and Erwin Miller, 35, Lansing, Ill., who were injured and taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield. Also in the car were two sons of the occupants, Charles Miller, 9 and Terry Sullivan, 11, who were uninjured.

The party had driven all night [o]n the return trip from a fishing trip in Minnesota. The car was pulling a two –wheel trailer and both car and trailer were badly smashed with the auto, a Buick, being an almost total wreck.
