Hubert P. Young Passes Away

Hubert P. Young passed away at his home in Spencer at 8:45 Saturday morning.

He was born at East Chain O’ Lakes, Minnesota. He lived with his parents until the age of 17 then leaving for Montana. During his time there he worked for the XIT Cattle Company between Montana and Canada.

In 1915, on September 15th, he was married to Miss Myrtle Reas of this city. They lived in Dakota until 1923 then going to Park Falls where they lived for 13 years. They then came to Spencer in 1937 where they resided until his death.

Besides his wife he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Wm. (Grace) St. Louis, Keno, Oregon; and one brother Al of Malta, Montana.

The body lie in state at the Swarthout Funeral Home until Monday, where funeral services were conducted at 3 o’clock by Rev. Raymond J. Fleming of Spencer Methodist Church. Interment was made in the West Spencer Cemetery.

The pallbearers, all members of the M. w. A. Lodge, of which Mr. Young was a member were Bert Baldwin, George Seitz, Harry Bodel, John Orgish, Guy Ingham and Spence Graves.

Flower Girls were Rosa Luepke, Henrietta Graves, and Minnie Baldwin.

Out of town relatives who were here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Reas, Mellen; Mrs. Art Seeley, Mrs. Orrin Fritz, Mr. Ed. Reas and Mrs. Wm. Ziebell, Park Falls; Mrs. Kurt Wisotzke, Milwaukee and MR. John Reas, Wild Rose.
