Peden, Lelah Nelle (1948)

Word has been received here of the marriage of Lelah Nelle Peden, to Charles George Engler of Milwaukee at Rochester, New York on January 28, 1948, at 4:00 P. M.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Plehn of St. Mathew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mr. Victor Pratt and Miss Ruth Plehn were the only attendants.

The bride chose for her wedding, a pale blue wool suit and brown accessories. Her corsage was gardenias. The groom wore a brown suit.

The bride, who is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Mayme Peden, needs no introduction to our readers, having lived here a number of years and graduating from the Spencer High school with the class of 1943. Since her graduation she has lived in Milwaukee and has been employed at the Muridale Sanitorium for the past 3 years.

The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Engler, 4633 N. 6th St. Milwaukee and is a graduate of Rufus King High School in 1940. He served 21 months in the Navy and is now emjloyed [sic] by the J. B. Cottrell Company of Milwaukee.

The young couple will return to Milwaukee in the near future where they will make their home.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
