Mazola, Janet (Marriage - 27 July 1968)

Janet Mazola of Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mazola of Neillsville, became the bride of Dennis Correll of Eau Claire at ceremonies in First Lutheran Church in that city Saturday. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Maynard Midthin.

Miss Mazola was given in marriage by her uncle, Roy Thompson. She wore a floor-length bridal gown of peau de soie styled with long tapered sleeves and a scoop neckline. Chantilly lace, embellished with sequins and tiny seed pearls, traced the empire bodice and the A-line skirt, which swept into a chapel train. She wore a bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion, which was secured to a crown fashioned with pearl-edged lace arches, and carried a bridal bouquet of yellow sweetheart roses and yellow carnations.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Gary (Joyce) Gall of Elk Grove, Ill., who wore a floor-length sheath of pink crepe and satin brocade elbow-length sleeves.

Bridesmaids were Miss Mary Ponomorenko of Stevens Point and Mrs. John Dorsey of Eau Claire. They wore floor-length sheaths of crepe highlighted by Watteaus of satin brocade. Elbow-length sleeves and scoop necklines complimented the empire bodices of brocade. Harmonizing veils of the attendants were secured to petal cloches. The colors were pink, Nile and maize.

Bestman was Barry Bertsch of Eau Claire, and Groomsmen were Dean White and Steve Blomquist, both of Eau Claire. Ushers were Charles Johnson and Richard Hays, also of Eau Claire.

A reception was held in the afternoon in the church parlors, and in the evening at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall. Following a wedding trip to Michigan, the newlyweds will be at home at 655 Kenney Avenue in Eau Claire.
