Decorah, Calli Joe (19 July 1983 - 25 February 2013)

Calli Joe Decorah was born to Barbara and Leslie Decorah Jr. July 19, 1983. He passed away Feb. 25, 2013, at age 29 from complications due to leukemia.

Calli graduated from Neillsville High School in 2002. He worked at the Majestic Pines Casino as production cook in Black River Falls, which he loved doing. He was also a very talented photographer and loved taking pictures especially for his friends’ weddings, graduations, etc. He resided in Neillsville until February 2012. He then moved to the Janesville area to be close to the hospital where he was receiving treatments. No matter what life dealt Calli, he always had a smile on his face and put others before himself. He was very close to his family and will be greatly missed but will live on in their hearts forever.

Calli is survived by his mother, sister, Emmalee, brother Tye, niece Kahlea, nephew Aiden Leslie and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Grandfather Leslie Decorah Sr., Grandmother Lucille Bearchief and grandparents Robert and Elizabeth Wilsmann.

Graveside services were held Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the Decorah Prairie Cemetery in Galesville.

God’s Gift to Me
Your smile brightens any room
Your laugh is contagious
Your love is unconditional
Your friendship is forever
Each time I look at you
This is what I see
God’s gift to me!
