Frederickson, Bonnie (22 DEC 1963)

BONNIE FREDERICKSON IS BRIDE OF ROBERT STERN

Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, Iowa on Sunday afternoon, December 22nd, united Miss Bonnie Kay Frederickson and Robert Gene Stern when the Rev. Bertram performed the double ring ceremony at 3:00 in the afternoon.  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Frederickson of Withee, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Stern of Storm Lake, Iowa.

When the bride was escorted to the altar by her father, she chose a floor-length ivory satin gown which was accented with a lace cumberbund and an attached satin train.  Attached to her rhinestone tiara was a bouffant veil.  Her bridal bouquet consisted of a large red poinsettia surrounded by white carnations.  Her single string of cultured pearls were a gift from the groom.

A candelabra with seven candles adorned the altar with bouquets of flowers of white carnations and red poinsettias.  During the ceremony Dale Sorenson sang “The Wedding Prayer” and the “Lord’s Prayer” being accompanied by Dale Hemington at the organ.

Aide to the bride was Mrs. Don Syndergaard of Alta, Iowa, a sister of the bride, serving as matron of honor.  The bridesmaids were Miss Julie Grigg of Alta, Iowa, and Mrs. Bonnie Augard of Cherokee, Iowa.  They were attired in identical street length dresses of red brocade taffeta.  Brenda Syndergaard, a niece of the bride, was the flower girl, with the ring bearer being
David Sanders.

Attending the groom as best man was Mr. Donald Miller of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Groomsmen were Randy Frederickson, a brother of the bride, and Berton Martin of Storm Lake, Iowa.  Serving as ushers were Thomas Augard, of Cherokee, Iowa and Dale Miller.

A reception was held in the church parlors following the wedding ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Owen-Withee High class of 1963.  She has been employed at Verns Variety Storm in Storm Lake.

The groom graduated from the Hayes High School in 1958 and is presently operating an Auto Body and Paint Shop in Storm Lake, Iowa.

After a honeymoon trip which took them to Minneapolis the newlyweds are making their home in Storm Lake.
