Schultz, Barbara A. (Rueth) (10 JUL 1920 - 4 MAR 2013)

Barbara A. Schultz, age 63, of Colby, died on Monday, March 4, 2013, at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, in Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal, with Rev. Dan Hackel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Barbara Ann Rueth was born on September 8, 1949, in Marshfield, the daughter of Sylvester D. and Dorothy E. (Frye) Rueth. She was raised on the family farm and received her education in Loyal, attending Loyal High School with the class of 1967. After high school, Barbara attended Beauty School in Eau Claire. She was united in marriage to Allen H. "Ollie" Schultz on April 8, 1972, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. They lived in the Wausau area for 18 years, moved to the Dorchester/Abbotsford, and finally settled in Colby in the fall of 1996. Barbara ran her own day care for almost 25 years.

She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family and friends, loved kid's and babies, quilts, garage sales, shopping, long hair and cooking.

Barbara will be dearly missed by her husband, Allen "Ollie", of Colby; her daughters, Jacqui Fons-Schultz of Colby, Tobi (Jeremy) Snyder of Virginia Beach, VA, Trista Love "Tawnee Schultz" (Dale "Brandon" Arnold) of Abbotsford; six grandchildren, Chelsa, Renny, Mercedes, Elizabeth, Christopher, Quinten; one sister, Mary (Joe) Weyer of Loyal; three brothers, Mike Rueth of Loyal, Bill (LuAnn) Rueth of Loyal, Joe (Deb) Rueth of Neillsville; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and her dog Scruffy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Raphael, in infancy.
