Ross, Grace C. (Brudos) (10 NOV 1935 - 5 JAN 2013)

Grace C. Ross, age 77, of Eau Claire, peacefully passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.

Grace was born on November 10, 1935 in Reedstown to Clarence and Hilda (Burt) Brudos. Grace married Gordon Ross on May 25, 1957 in Cross Plains.

Grace worked for the State of Wisconsin Board of Regents as a secretary, and Krug's Bus Service in Medford. She enjoyed crocheting dolls and doilies, canning, and collecting squirrel figurines. Grace made the best brownies and chicken soup; she also was an avid fan of the Packers. Grace loved to travel. She and Gordon made three trips to Hawaii throughout their marriage. Grace loved her family and enjoyed her home life.

Grace is survived by her husband, Gordon; one son, Ricky of Eau Claire; three grandchildren, Paige, Samantha and Brooke, all of Eau Claire; two sisters, Marlene McDonald of Navato, Calif., and Betty Olson of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; one brother, Adrian (Dana) Brudos of Madison; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Grace is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Beverly Clements, and a daughter-in-law, Sheryl Ross in 2007.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the VFW Post 305 in Eau Claire. Burial will take place in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.
