The Rev. Father John Dzurko officiated at the 10 o'clock double ring nuptial ceremony uniting Miss Joan Mary Wilcenski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aloise Wilcenski, Gilman, and Ten Zawacki, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zawacki, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), Saturday, Aug. 21, 1965 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. White gladiolas decorated the altar for the occasion.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose for her wedding a floor length gown of sheer organza over taffeta, styled with long traditional sleeves and a Sabrina neckline. An overlap of lace adorned the front of the bouffant skirt, accented by tiers of lace at the back, sweeping into a chapel train. A pearl trimmed crown with crystal drops held her fingertip veil of sheer illusion. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and red roses, accented with a white orchid and ivy.

Miss Kathleen Wilcenski was her sister's maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Misses Diane Wilcenski, sister fo the bride, and Mary Jean and Karol Muraski, nieces of the groom. They wore floor length dresses os sheer organza over taffeta in petal blue, styled with short cap sleeves and and a semi-scoop neckline. A midriff of Venice lace complemented the bodice, the same lace forming panels extending into the simi-bouffant skirt. A petal clocke in harmonizing color held their bouffant bustle veils. The maid of honor carried a bouquet of whtie carnations, while the bridesmaids' bouquets were of blue carnations.

Miss Connie Ogurek, niece of the groom, was the miniature bride. She was fashioned similar to the bride. Duane Beck, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Groomsmen were Dennis Ogurek, nephew of the groom, Gary Wilcenski, brother of the bride, and Robert Virnig, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Richard Gay, cousin of the bride, and Eddie Pszeniczny, brother-in-law of the groom.

About 325 friends and relatives were guests at a 2 - 6:30 reception at Koolmo's Ballroom, Gilman. Out of town guests were from Chicago, Ladysmith, Thorp, Medford, Owen, Withee, Cadott, Cameron, Eau Claire, Boyd, Menomonee Falls, and Milwaukee. Also from Elk Grove, Ill., Dover, Delaware, Ishpeming, Mich., Mina, Minn., Bellwood, Ill. and Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn.

The bride is a 1960 graduate of Gilman High School and a 1962 graduate of Taylor County Teachers College, Medford. For the past three eyars she taught at St. Anthony's School, Menomonee Falls,a nd will be completing her four year degree at Wis. State University, Eau Claire. The groom is a 1956 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and is presently employed at Mac's Typewriter at Eau Claire. Following their wedding trip to the Black Hill, the couple will reside at Eau Claire.
