Jouppi, Jane Laverne (11 Dec. 1943 - 17 Dec. 2006)

Jane Laverne Jouppi, of Chippewa Falls, passed away at her home on Sunday, December 17 at the age of 63. She and her family had celebrated her and her brother Darryl's birthdays (both born on the 11th of December) on the 10th of December at the home of her beloved brother, Dennis. She was born in Ashland on December 11, 1943, the daughter of Martha (Nuutinen) and William Jouppi. She was a resident of the Northern Colony in Chippewa Falls, until her move to the assisted living facility, Pleasures of Home, Chippewa Falls.

She is survived by her father, William Jouppi of North York; two brothers, Dennis (Carolyn) Jouppi of Bloomer, and Darryl Jouppi of Spring Lake Park, Minn.; three sisters, Lorraine (Robert) Schutte, High Bridge, Sharon (Kenneth) Musselman, High Bridge, and Shirley (Thomas) Long, of Marengo; 14 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews; her extended family of caregivers during her care at the Northern Colony and Pleasures of Home, who she really liked; three aunts, Lempi Luoma, North York, Eleanor Nuutinen, Ashland, Mary Jouppi, Auburndale, Fla., and numerous cousins and brothers and sisters in faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha on August 3, 2002. Many were blessed with Jane's smiles, persistence, and sense of humor. She will be missed by many and will be spending this Christmas and those to come with her beloved Jesus.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday, Dec. 22 at 1 p.m., at the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church, Marengo. James Yliniemi will officiate. Interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, High Bridge.
