Badger Girls State had its 40th year last week in Madison, where more than 700
girls elected state officials as well as county and city officials as well as
county and city officials to govern them during the week. Brenda Talcott of
Route 1, Spencer, was appointed finance chairman of the City of Cedar. Brenda
was selected by the staff of Spencer High School to attend the week-long program
and was sponsored by Wisconsin American Legion Auxiliary of Spencer.
