Thill, Frank (12 JUL 1868 - 13 DEC 1947)

Frank Thill, 79, of the Town of Taft, passed away at his home there on Dec. 13th, 1947, after a lingering illness following an operation. He was born in Luxemburg, Germany, July 12, 1868 and arrived in America in 1889. In 1901 he was married to Margaret Kappler at Dubuque, Iowa.

He leaves to mourn his widow and four sons, Leo of Chicago, Frank, Nick and Alex at home one daughter Rose (Mrs. Frank Reinhart) of Owen, Wis.; one brother, Joseph Thill of Dubuque, Iowa, two sisters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Nick Wagner) and Mary (Mrs. Jake Entringer) of Dubuque, and one grandson.

Funeral services were held at St. Ann’s Church at Stanley, Dec. 17th, Rev. Paul Pitzenberger officiating, and interment taking place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Louis Schumacher, Theo. Slowiak, Peter Slowiak, Jos. Swatzina, Jos. Szczech, Marc Wagener.
