Elmer, Fred (? - 26 September 1980)
Word was recently received by Ernest Elmer, Greenwood, of the death of his
brother, Fred Elmer, 79, of Phoenix, Arizona. He passed away on Friday,
September 26. He had been in ill health for six years. Funeral services were to
be held in Phoenix this morning, October 2.
Fred Elmer was born in Greenwood to Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Elmer. He received his
education in Greenwood Schools. He married Margaret Engeldinger of Auburndale
and the couple resided in Milwaukee before moving to Arizona in 1939.
Surviving him are two sons and five daughters as well as one brother, Elmer, of
Greenwood. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Ellen) Frinkle of Simi,
California, Olive Verfinde of Sandy, Oregon, and Viola Gesme of Madison. He was
preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and two sisters.
