Boehm, Hubert L. (22 Jan. 1922 - 6 Aug. 2008)

Hubert L. Boehm, 86, Weston, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at Renaissance Weston.

He was born Jan. 22, 1922, in the town of Emmet, the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Baur) Boehm. He married Marie "Mae" Diermeier on April 4, 1945, in Stratford. She survives.

He farmed in the town of Emmet for over 50 years, retiring in 1989, and was recognized by the FFA Organization at the local, state and national level for his achievements. Hubert was a long time member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Halder. His biggest love was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Survivors besides his wife, Mae, include his five children, Julie (Lee) Zebro, Tomah, William (Deb) Boehm, Kewaunee, Joyce (DuWayne) Mews, Stratford, Steve (Kathy) Boehm, Wausau, and Jan (Charles) Brown, Stratford; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leon (Mary) Boehm, Wausau, Loy Boehm, Stratford, and Armin (Lorraine) Boehm, Halder; and three sisters, Betty Drake, Mosinee, Dorothy (Dutch) Clark, Stevens Point, and Loretta (John) Kaiser, Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Tommy Boehm; and two sisters-in-law, Marie and Dorothy Boehm.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. The Rev. Norman Boneck presided. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery, Halder. Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. Visitation was again from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hubert's name may be directed to Ministry Home Care-Hospice Services, 404 S. 3rd Ave., Wausau, WI 54401.
