Dettmann, Duane E. (23 May 1947 - 9 May 2008)

Duane E. Dettmann, 60, of Stratford died Friday, May 9, 2008, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in March Rapids.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford and from 10 a.m. until time of the services Wednesday at the church.

Duane E. Dettmann, 60, of Stratford died Friday, May 9, 2008, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in March Rapids with the Rev. Thomas Haar officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with Donald Landwehr, Scott Landwehr, LeRoy Syring, David Dietel, Daniel Seelow and Richard Seelow serving as pallbearers.

Visitations will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford and from 10 a.m. until time of the service Wednesday at the church.

Duane was born May 23, 1947, in Milwaukee to Arnold and Lydia (Grosskreutz) Dettmann. He graduated from Stratford High School and later was employed at Berg Equipment in Marshfield. Duane was presently employed at Automated Products in Marshfield.

He enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, going to car races with his son, vegetable gardening, fishing, and the outdoors.

Duane is survived by his mother Lydia M. Dettmann of Stratford, son Peter (Jill) Dettmann of Marshfield, grandson Nicholas James Dettmann and two sisters Alyce (Larry) Knutson of Wisconsin Rapids and Laurie (Joseph) Tritz of Arpin. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews.

His father Arnold preceded him in death.
