Marquardt, Marion (Marriage - 30 Sept. 1944)

Bethlehem Lutheran church in Milan was the scene, Saturday afternoon of the wedding of Miss Marion Marquardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marquardt, town of Bern, and Edward Kalepp, son of Mrs. Rose Kalepp, Dorchester. The Rev. E. E. Malueg performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an entrained gown of white satin and carried a shower bouquet of cream and white roses. Three tiers of lace trimmed the train of her long tulle veil.

Miss Alvina Kalepp, a sister of the bridegroom, attending as maid of honor, and Miss Clara Middlestead, of Marshfield, the bridesmaid, wore identical gowns of pale blue crepe and shoulder-length veils. They carried sheafs of pink gladioli and white dahlias.

Donald Marquardt, a brother of the bride, and Donald Juedes, Marshfield, attended the bridegroom.

Little Mary Lu Marquardt, a sister of the bride, who was in the bridal party as flower girl, wore a floor-length frock of dusty pink net over satin and a sweetheart bonnet to match. She carried a small colonial bouquet of flowers in pastel shades.

Mrs. Marquardt attended her daughter’s wedding in a powder blue dress and Mrs. Kalepp was attired in navy blue. Both had pink and white corsage bouquets.

A reception for relatives and intimate friends was held at the home of the bride’s parents and was followed in the evening by a wedding dance at the Trianon Gardens.

The couple will reside on a farm near Spencer.
