Polege, Clara A. (22 Apr. 1897 - 22 May 1989)

STRATFORD - Services for Mrs. Clara A. Polege, 92, Stratford, who died at 12:55 a.m. Monday at Riverview Manor, Wisconsin Rapids, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford.

The Rev. Dan L. Alexander will officiate. Music will be provided by Mrs. Marjorie J. Redetzke, organist, for congregational singing. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Memorial Park Cemetery, town of Eau Pleine.

Pallbearers will be Steven and Richard Schmidt, Paul Hahm, Harold Seitz, and Charles and Richard Jirschele.

Visitation will be at Sauter/Kundinger Funeral Home, Stratford, at 4 p.m. Wednesday and until 9 a.m. Thursday and then at the church from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday.

She was born April 22, 1897, in Belmont, to Diedrich and Anna Helms. She attended rural Belmont schools.

She was married to Richard O. Polege Feb. 15, 1930, in Marshfield. He died June 19, 1971.

She moved to the Rozellville area with her family in 1915, where the family farmed for a number of years. They later moved to Marshfield. After her marriage, she and her husband farmed in the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, until April 1, 1958, when their sons, Edward and Arnold, took over the operation of the farm. They continued to reside with their sons until she entered Riverview Manor on Jan. 23, 1887.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and it Ladies Aid.

Besides her sons, she is survived ....missing content.
